Motivation and Dicipline

Motivation is a feeling that come and goes and it doesn’t matter whether it there or not dicipline is infinitely more important. So no matter how you feel get up and do what you supposed to do, that’s it. And that’s dicipline, not motivation. If you only did what you supposed to do when you motivated to do it, that’s leaving you to a chance. But if you’re dicipline you got to do what you’re supposed to do, that’s how it works. instagam @shademotivation

Gratitude

Why do I live? Has this question ever came to your mind? It come across my mind multiple times, and today, I want to share it. I wrote this article in the train on my way back to Jakarta. Train is one of my favorite place where you can reflect yourself 🙂. I come to this thought as the officer in Bandung Station, give salute when the train was leaving. Right after I see that, I want to capture this moment, but I were not prepared to take the picture of this moment. Still, I give a thought, and I have 2 questions: What is the point of them in doing that!? Are they feel that their role is important? …

The Purpose of My Life

Recently some people around me doubting about their purpose of life and it made me think about mine as well. It’s a tricky question why most of people want to live despite their living situation. I look at my surrounding in office and around my living place. Today, right after I step out from the fence, I see old man walk with carrying trash cart without any smile drawn on his face. On my way to office, I see numbers of kids ride bicycle and man around his 30th pedaling a bakery cart with happy face. While waiting in front of the elevator, a man in a phone talk about marketing strategy to rebound the business and inside the elevator, …

How are humans different from animals

There are many similarities between humans and other animals that you may have noticed. Humans and animals both eat, sleep, think, and communicate. We are also similar in a lot of the ways our bodies work. But we also have a lot of differences. Are there any differences that set humans apart, uniquely, from all other animals? Some people think that the main differences between humans other animal species is our ability of complex reasoning, our use of complex language, our ability to solve difficult problems, and introspection (this means describing your own thoughts and feelings). Others also feel that the ability for creativity or the feeling of joy or sorrow is uniquely human. Humans have a highly developed brain …

10 Life Lessons You’d Better Learn Early on in Life

There are so many lessons I wish I had learned while I was young enough to appreciate and apply them. The thing with wisdom, and often with life lessons in general, is that they’re learned in retrospect, long after we needed them. The good news is that other people can benefit from our experiences and the lessons we’ve learned. Here’re 10 important life lessons you should learn early on: 1. Money Will Never Solve Your Real Problems Money is a tool; a commodity that buys you necessities and some nice “wants,” but it is not the panacea to your problems. There are a great many people who are living on very little, yet have wonderfully full and happy lives… and …

How do life experiences shape our values?

We all experience life, but we don’t all live life for experience. I used to simply exist. I used to take what was given to me, positive or negative. I believed to be the way of this life. However, I stumbled across some interesting wisdom in a book called: Man’s Search for Meaning. It allowed my existential thinking to be brought to the surface, and it gave me permission to be me and take control of my life. Then a question surfaced from this new understanding: How do my life experiences shape my life? And Can I determine how I will experience life all together? I got some interesting answers from these questions. Here are the 3 ways life experiences …
