Bandung is known as the "Paris of Java," famous for its cool climate, mountain views, and creative energy. Growing up here, my environment was small and quiet. Raised by a single mother, our home was a sanctuary of books and learning.
The Quiet Observer
I was never the outgoing kid playing football in the streets. I preferred staying inside, taking apart remote control cars, and putting together Lego sets. My mother recognized this early and focused her limited budget on buying me educational books, math puzzles, and science guides.
The Beauty of Logic
In school, mathematics and physics quickly became my favorite subjects. Unlike social dynamics which felt unpredictable and exhausting to my introverted self, physics offered clear equations and logical outcomes. This logic-oriented childhood paved a natural pathway towards my informatics and electrical engineering studies at ITB.
Even now, whenever I return to Bandung and breathe in the cool air, I am reminded of where my technical curiosity began.
